FAMI-LIFE

 

Since February 2020, the inclusions (500 patients) of the “FAMI-LIFE” study have been completed. The main objective of this study is to determine the incidence and risk factors for prolonged bereavement in the families of patients who died in palliative care units (USP) in France.

This study has secondary objectives:
 – measure the incidence of family anxiety and depression symptoms between the third and fifth day of USP admission.
 – measure the incidence of family anxiety and depression symptoms at 6 months from the date of death.
 – to determine the evolution factors of the HADS score between the third and fifth day of admission in USP and at 6 months of families.
 – to measure the incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) of families at 6 months from the date of death.
 – to analyze the experience of bereavement between 6 months and one year after death for families with ICG> 25.
Data are collected in 29 centers.
